What is a Notary Public?

A Notary Public is an individual appointed by the Secretary of State to serve the public in performing official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of various documents. This is called the "notarial Act."

As a Notary Public, it is my duty to perform notarial acts with impartiality and professionalism.
